My husband, Brian, and I have been together since 2005, got engaged in 2009 and recently married on March 24, 2012. We had the most perfect wedding (not to say that everything happened perfectly!) in a little town called Beaverdam.
I'm a Business Management major who is loving the process of becoming "domestic." I've never been much of a crafty person but I am learning to be. I've also never been much of a cook, but again, I'm learning! That's what this blog is about, learning through trial and error and always making an adventure out of it. I love learning these new things and every day being a better wife for my amazing husband.
Brian is a Graphic Design major who is fantastic in all areas of art. I even wrote a whole post about how awesome he is. You can read that here. I guess I'm a little biased. He loves making movies and working with his hands. He will occasionally guest post for me when he is making props or doing some sort of "manly" task.
Together we rent a little townhouse that fits us just right here in Lynchburg, Virginia. We have two geriatric dogs, a talkative cat and three hermit crabs. Eventually our plan is to move back to our hometown area and buy or build a house in the country and live a sustainable life. We're just a normal couple enjoying the newlywed life and all the adventures that come with it.
I hope you'll stay and join us for this new journey!

Hi Catherine! I found your blog on the Southern Girl Blog Directory! I'm a newlywed too (April 20, 2012) and am learning how to cook and craft as I go as well. I'm looking forward to reading more from you. :-)
